Bennita
ESL TeacherBennita is a South African English teacher with 10 years of online and classroom teaching experience. She spent more than 20 years living in the United Kingdom before returning to South Africa, and teaching is something she genuinely loves. For her, a successful lesson is not only about what a student learns — it is also about whether they feel comfortable, supported and willing to keep trying.
She also has experience supporting children with learning difficulties. That work strengthened her belief that there is no single way every child should learn: some students need more time, some need more repetition, and some simply need a different explanation. Bennita is very happy to meet learners exactly where they are.
Teaching Approach
Bennita wants students to enjoy their lessons while still making meaningful progress with their English. Lessons are lively, varied and built around keeping the learner engaged.
She creates an environment where learners can ask questions, practise speaking and make mistakes without worrying. If something is not clicking, she is happy to slow down and find another way to explain it.
Ten years of teaching — including working with children with learning difficulties — means Bennita adapts naturally to how each individual learner processes and retains language.
Most importantly, she wants students to leave a lesson feeling proud of what they achieved and excited to keep learning. Patience and encouragement make an enormous difference to a learner's confidence.

A Note from Bennita
When I am not teaching, I love being creative — colouring and painting, playing the guitar and playing video games. I am also a big animal lover and love spending time with my dogs. I look forward to meeting new learners and helping them discover that learning English can be something they genuinely enjoy.
