Meagan
Founder & ESL TeacherMeagan is the founder of Easy English Lessons and Chatter Boxes. She has been working with children and in education since 2008, and teaching has always been about much more than simply completing a lesson: she loves getting to know each learner as an individual, discovering how they learn best, and watching their confidence grow over time.
She started Easy English Lessons because she wanted to create something different, English lessons that do not rush students through a programme, but give each learner the time, support, and encouragement they need to genuinely understand and use English.
Her background includes qualifications in educare, education, and child psychology, an N6 qualification, and TEFL training. She previously helped open and run a preschool before moving into online English teaching in 2020. Since then she has taught more than 10,500 English lessons online to children, teenagers, and adults around the world: and created the entire Easy English Lessons curriculum from scratch, combining structured language learning with conversation, creativity, and plenty of opportunities to actually use English.
Teaching Approach
Every lesson has a shape: a warm-up, a focus activity, and open conversation. But within that structure, there is creative flexibility. Meagan uses themed activities, storytelling, games, and real-world scenarios to make vocabulary and grammar feel natural rather than memorised.
Her background in educare and child psychology means she understands not just how to teach English, but how children at different developmental stages actually process and retain language. Her lessons for younger learners are age-appropriate, emotionally safe, and genuinely fun.
Meagan wants learners to feel comfortable enough to speak, ask questions, make mistakes, and try again without feeling embarrassed or rushed. Corrections are gentle, timely, and framed positively, so mistakes feel like part of the process.
Students and parents consistently report noticing real improvements within the first few weeks. Meagan structures lessons so that growth is visible: each session builds directly on the last, and learners can feel the difference.
Meagan adapts her teaching to the individual rather than expecting every student to learn in exactly the same way. Some learners need more repetition, some need more conversation, some need visual support, and others simply need a little more time. Her goal is not only to improve a student's English, but to get them to the point where they genuinely think, "I can do this."

Outside the classroom, I love creating new lessons and educational resources. I'm also a published children's book author, which combines two things I love, children and storytelling. Building Easy English Lessons has allowed me to bring together years of teaching, curriculum creation, and working with learners into something I'm incredibly proud to share with our students.
